It’s that time again for Ask Mattel. If you’d like to ask Mattel a question about any of its brands, leave them as comments to this post. I’ll pick five out of the bunch to be answered on October 15th, 2013. All questions need to be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on September 30th, 2013.
Mattel re-opened the subscription for MOTUC, so will it: a) re-open the sub for the DCU line to see if consumers have re-considered? b) re-structure the sub for the DCU line in order to release the remaining tooled figures? OR c) no further effort will be made on the DCU line and is considered ended and done?
Recently, actress Yvonne Craig announced a licensing deal with WB of her likeness. Although Mattel stated that their 6″ Batman 1966 TV Show action figure line is done with only 1 wave of 6 characters, with this news, has Mattel re-considered releasing a second wave and include Batgirl in the line. She was an important part of the TV series’ final season and the line really feels incomplete without her. Releasing her with some more villains (Mr. Freeze, Egghead, King Tut, etc…) would likely sell as well as the first wave. Including her motorcycle would clinch it.
