I decided to do something I thought was bold, back in March of this year when the Watchmen movie came out. I said to myself that I was going to make all 6 main characters from Watchmen on a 3.75 inch scale. And I would get it done by the end of the month.

Well, lo and behold, other projects came up and life happened and my entire set wasn’t finished until now. So here to start off the watchmen set, I give you Rorschach. Rorschach was created using a DC Inifinte Crisis Question figure as the base.

I started off by painting his entire head white, and giving him some Rorschach blots on his mask, designs I copied straight from one of the panels of the comic. After that I painted his hat brown using Testors Leather.

Next came the trickiest part. I had to lengthen his coat. The Question’s coat wasn’t long enough, so I took some electrical tape (some on both sides…I wasn’t going to use the adhesive from the tape) and glued it all around the bottom of Question’s coat. Then I took some strips cut from a sheet of foamies and made the belt that goes all around his body, and I used Aves Apoxie to sculpt details on his coat such as the folds in the back, and his entire collar, lapel, and scarf were sculpted on as well.

Then I painted his entire coat and gloves black, and drybrushed some more Testors Leather on him. I painted the scarf a greyish color, and painted his pants purple. I know they’re supposed to be pin-striped, but I wasn’t brave enough to attempt that on such a small scale. Hopefully you’ll all forgive me. Stay tuned for the rest of the Watchmen!
